The AY 2021 Undergraduate Entrance Ceremonies will be held for new students and related parties only after giving maximum consideration to the health and safety of new students and preventing the spread of the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease.)
While the utmost efforts to facilitate the participation of families were made, we request your kind understanding regarding this decision that was reached with consideration to the circumstances at Hiyoshi Campus, which is implementing access management for entry to all buildings to prevent infections, and the impact on the areas surrounding the campus. While we believe that all family members were sincerely looking forward to attending the ceremony, we thank you for your kind understanding. No venue will be made available for the use of family members, etc., and we as such request that they refrain from accompanying ceremony attendees on campus.

*The method for holding the ceremonies may be subject to change according to the ongoing situation regarding infections with COVID-19. If there are any changes, we will inform you via this web page. Please be sure to check the latest information.

URL: 【Morning ceremony】No longer available 【Afternoon ceremony】No longer available Start of broadcast: 【Morning ceremony】April 1 (Thurs.), 9:45 (planned) 【Afternoon ceremony】April 1 (Thurs.), 14:45 (planned) Language: Japanese [To all visitors] ・ Please use public transportation on the day to come to the venue. Your cooperation is requested in wearing a mask at all times when using public transportation, and taking steps to prevent the spread of infections such as refraining from conversation, etc. ・ You are requested to take your temperature on the day of the ceremony and refrain from attending if you have a fever of 37.5 degrees or above, or are feeling unwell. In addition, temperature checks will be performed at the reception desk of the venue. If you have a fever, you will not be permitted to enter. ・ Please wear a mask at all times on campus and refrain from talking as much as possible. Please do not remove masks when taking commemorative photos. ・ Note that there will be no campus signboards provided with a view to preventing congestion. Instead, we plan to prepare a photo frame that can be used on smartphones. Please use the photo frame from here. ・ Please refrain from remaining on campus after the conclusion of the ceremony other than to complete various procedures such as orientation. ・ Because communal dining involving multiple people gathering to converse and eat and drink together results in the participants removing their masks at close distance while also engaging in conversation, they carry an extremely high risk of infection through droplets, and this has actually been a major source of the spread of infections. Please refrain from communal dining before and after the ceremony, even outside the campus. ・ At the Hiyoshi Commemorative Hall, the ceremony venue, seats will be arranged so as to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and with consideration to the actual number of attendees compared to normal years. While it is anticipated that all attendees at the Hiyoshi Commemorative Hall will be seated, if the number of attendees greatly exceeds those expected, we may request that they watch the ceremony proceedings at a separate venue on Hiyoshi Campus. [To family members] ・ Family members are kindly requested to refrain from accompanying attendees to the campus. |
